Public, private, technical education and community college

education resources

Six public schools, three parochial schools, and programs through the Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District and Career & Technical Education Center prepare students for entering the workforce, continuing education at a 4-year university, or at our very own Bay College Iron Mountain Campus.

The Dickinson area is split into four public school districts - Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Norway-Vulcan, and North Dickinson. All four school districts have scholarship programs through the Dickinson Area Community Foundation. With school of choice, parents can decide the best school for their children no matter which community they call home.

There are also two Catholic K-8 schools, one Seventh-Day Adventist school, and a large homeschooling community.
